What You’ll Do

You will be the single-threaded Product Manager for a high-impact consumer devices product domain (mesh WiFi systems and connected devices), owning strategy through execution and driving cross-functional delivery that delights millions of users.

  • Own the product roadmap and define the end-to-end customer experience for mesh WiFi hardware and companion embedded/mobile software.
  • Conduct market research, validate concepts with users, and define product-market fit.
  • Write high-quality PRDs, user stories, functional specs, and business cases to align engineering, design, and operations.
  • Prioritize features using data, customer insight, and business impact.
  • Coordinate go-to-market readiness with marketing, manufacturing, distribution, and support teams.
  • Define and monitor key product metrics (NPS, device activation, feature adoption, network performance) and iterate based on data.
  • Influence technical architecture and collaborate closely with embedded systems and wireless protocol engineers.
  • Present roadmaps and results to cross-functional leaders and executives.

Key Responsibilities

  • End-to-end ownership from ideation to launch and iteration for physical devices and complementary software.
  • Translate customer and technical constraints into clear requirements and prioritized trade-offs.
  • Partner with Hardware, Firmware, Embedded Software, Industrial Design, UX, QA, and Operations to ship high-quality products on schedule.
  • Drive data-informed decisions and A/B/feature experiments where applicable.
  • Advocate for customers across global channels and partner with channel and support teams to improve adoption and satisfaction.
  • Support executive-level communication of strategy, timelines, risks, and results.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of product management experience, preferably shipping consumer hardware, networking devices, or smart home products.
  • Proven track record shipping physical products where hardware/firmware/UX trade-offs mattered.
  • Strong technical literacy in wireless technologies (WiFi, Bluetooth), embedded software, device integration, and IoT ecosystems.
  • Experience writing PRDs, MRDs, user stories, and product specifications.
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and influence engineering, design, and business stakeholders.
  • Data-oriented mindset with experience defining KPIs and using quantitative and qualitative insights to drive decisions.
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment with multiple stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience at leading consumer device or networking companies.
  • Background in electrical engineering, embedded systems, firmware, or UX for device ecosystems.
  • MBA or advanced technical degree is a plus.

Work Location & Schedule

  • Location: San Jose, CA (hybrid). The role requires approximately 3 days per week in the San Jose HQ office.
  • Some travel may be required to contract manufacturers, partners, or customer research sites.
