Edkey is working on an APAC initiative and seeks help to complete this project in collaboration with multiple partners.

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced and talented Senior UX Designer with 8+ years of experience in designing consumer mobile applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong portfolio showcasing innovative design solutions and a deep understanding of user-centered design principles. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on high-impact projects that reach millions of users in a fast-growing market.

This is a remote position, offering contract work for 20-40 hours per week (with potential for full-time) over a 6-month period. Hours are flexible, but availability for working and attending meetings in the late afternoons/early evenings Pacific Time is required, as the engineering team is based in the Asia Pacific region. The ability to rapidly iterate in a dynamic environment where requirements are quickly being defined is a must.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the UX design process from concept to delivery for consumer mobile applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, developers, and stakeholders to create intuitive and engaging user experiences.
  • Communicate the user experience at various stages of the design process with wireframes, flow diagrams, information architecture diagrams, mockups, create personas and journey maps, high fidelity prototypes.
  • Integrate user feedback and business requirements into ongoing product experience updates.
  • Develop design systems and guidelines for our mobile products.
  • Conduct functional and visual QA.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in UX design, with a strong focus on consumer mobile applications.
  • Proven track record of designing successful mobile apps, evidenced by a strong portfolio.
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD, and other relevant software.
  • Extensive experience with user research methodologies and usability testing.
  • Strong understanding of mobile UI/UX design patterns and guidelines for both iOS and Android platforms.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills in a multilingual environment.
  • Ability to think strategically and advocate for the user while balancing business objectives.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, agile environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Design, HCI, Interaction Design, or a related field (preferred).
