What You’ll Do
You will join a fast-paced product team as a Freelance UI Designer to deliver high-quality visual design and interface work for a major financial brand. Responsibilities include:
- Lead UI design for web and mobile product experiences that reach large audiences
- Translate strategic briefs and UX research into polished, on-brand visual interfaces
- Create and maintain scalable visual design systems, including tokenized components and Figma libraries/variables
- Build interactive prototypes to validate flows and hand off production-ready assets to engineering
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (UX, product, engineering, stakeholders) and iterate based on feedback
- Use AI tools to accelerate research, ideation, and prototyping while ensuring craft and quality
- Contribute to design reviews, documentation, and team processes to maintain consistency and quality
- Apply accessibility best practices (WCAG) and performance-minded design patterns
What We’re Looking For
Minimum qualifications and skills:
- 4+ years of professional design experience (agency experience preferred)
- Strong UI sensibility with a portfolio showing digital product work and visual craft
- Expert in Figma: design systems, variables, libraries, components, and tokenization
- Solid UX fundamentals and experience creating prototypes with industry-standard tools
- Experience establishing and scaling visual design systems across products
- Comfortable using AI tools as part of the design process (research, ideation, prototyping)
- Excellent collaboration and client-facing communication skills in a deadline-driven environment
- Motion design skills are a plus
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred
Logistics & Compensation
- Engagement type: Freelance / Temporary contract (employed by our client)
- Location: Remote (United States only) — must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- Commitment: June 15, 2026 through September 3, 2026
- Hours: 40 hours/week; available during core U.S. Eastern Time business hours
- Compensation: $2,200 to $2,600 per week (expected)
