Overview
Confidential Client is hiring for an accelerated, entry-level Management & Sales Training Program designed to prepare candidates for a Store Management role within 18–24 months. This structured development program combines hands-on store experience, outside-sales exposure, leadership coaching, and formal training modules to develop sales, operations, customer service, and leadership capabilities.
This role is typically full-time (about 44 hours per week) and may include evenings and weekends.
What You’ll Do
Confidential Client’s training program offers a mix of store-based leadership and commercial sales responsibilities. Core duties include:
- Complete training consistent with the established development program
- Support business strategies to increase sales and optimize profitability
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service
- Build and maintain knowledge of all products to make effective customer recommendations
- Develop positive relationships with wholesale and retail customers, including painting contractors and purchasing agents
- Perform store administration tasks and maintain visual merchandising and promotional displays
- Ensure compliance with policies and procedures, including safety, loss prevention, and security
- Support employee training, development, performance management, and corrective action
- Respond to and resolve customer and employee concerns
- Partner with store leadership to make outside sales calls and grow market share
Qualifications
Minimum requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future
- Valid, unrestricted driver’s license
- Bachelor’s degree completed by the start of the development program
- Ability, with or without reasonable accommodation, to retrieve items from shelves and floor stacks and lift/carry up to 50 lbs frequently and up to 70 lbs on occasion
Preferred qualifications
- 1+ year of experience in retail, sales, or customer service
- 1+ year of leadership experience supervising or leading teams
- Experience working in team-oriented settings (work, extracurriculars, military, etc.)
- Experience selling paint or related products (helpful, not required)
- Familiarity with timekeeping or CRM systems
- Willingness to relocate for future opportunities
- Multilingual abilities (Spanish proficiency is a plus)
Schedule, Compensation & Benefits
- Typical schedule: approximately 44 hours per week; may include evenings and weekends.
- Estimated pay (as listed by the source posting): $102,144 per year — actual compensation depends on candidate experience, skills, location, and other factors.
