About the Role
Confidential Client is hiring entry-level 2027 Utilities Consultants to join its Utilities Practice in Los Angeles, CA. This is a client-facing, full-time consulting role where you will help deliver strategy, technology evaluation, process optimization, technology implementation, change management, and program leadership across utility initiatives. You will work alongside senior consultants, engage with client stakeholders, and gain hands-on experience with emerging technologies reshaping the energy and utilities sector.
What You’ll Do
- Assist in strategy development for utility initiatives, including operational technology (OT), telecommunications assets, customer-facing software, business IT systems, and renewable energy technologies
- Analyze and document current-state processes and identify opportunities for improvement
- Manage dependencies across project workstreams and parallel initiatives
- Support project leadership by facilitating workshops, capturing client requirements, and preparing presentations for stakeholders
- Help drive change management for large transformational programs
- Contribute to business and practice development by assisting with proposals and new client activities
- Apply lessons learned and industry best practices to improve client outcomes
- Use AI and automation tools to accelerate analysis, synthesize information, and support data-driven recommendations while exercising critical judgment on outputs

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in progress with an expected graduation date between December 2026 and August 2027 (candidates must be on track to graduate within this window; graduation date will be verified)
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
- Legally authorized to work in the United States without limitation or sponsorship now or in the future (examples: OPT, H-1B, TN not required at hire)
- Reside within 50 miles of the assigned Los Angeles office prior to your start date (hybrid team model emphasizes local collaboration)
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 50% (travel expenses covered by the client)
- Experience integrating AI tools (for example, ChatGPT or similar) into workflows to improve productivity, with strong critical thinking to assess outputs and mitigate bias
Preferred Qualifications
- Majors in Business Administration, Chemical Engineering, Economics, Electrical Engineering, Environmental Studies, Finance, or Mechanical Engineering
- Interest in utility operations, distributed energy resources, resiliency, and public policy
- Any hands-on experience with process improvement, data analysis, or industry technology stacks
