What You’ll Do
Confidential Client is hiring an entry-level Tax Staff I to support its Financial Services tax practice. In this hybrid role you will learn tax preparation and support tax planning and provision review for corporate and individual clients.
- Learn and assist with preparation of federal and state income tax returns
- Support tax provision completion and review
- Assist with tax planning research and documentation
- Prepare workpapers and maintain client files in line with firm standards
- Support client engagements, including coordination with senior staff and partners
- Communicate professionally with clients and internal teams to deliver timely results
Qualifications (Basic)
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in accounting (or equivalent) from an accredited college or university
- 0–2 years of recent public accounting experience (entry-level candidates encouraged)
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship, now or in the future
- Ability to reliably commute to the assigned San Francisco office and client sites as required
- This position is hybrid and includes in-office requirements
Preferred / Desired Qualifications
- Pursuing the educational requirements for CPA licensure in the state of assignment (or working toward 150 credits/master’s)
- Final graduation between Dec 2026 and Sept 2027 preferred
- Minimum GPA: 3.0 preferred
- Strong Excel and Word skills
- Strong time-management and organizational skills
- Self-starter with a strong work ethic and the ability to collaborate effectively
- Strong communication, leadership potential, and analytical skills
