What You’ll Do

• Design, develop, test, and troubleshoot secure, high-quality software solutions as part of an engineering team.
• Communicate clearly in writing and verbally: articulate problems, document solutions, and prompt approved AI-assisted development tools to produce high-quality outputs.
• Collaborate with engineers, managers, and stakeholders across teams to understand problems, share feedback, and deliver reliable solutions.
• Leverage approved AI development tools (code generation, refactoring, test creation, documentation) to increase productivity while validating outputs through peer review, automated testing, and secure coding practices.
• Apply automation and modern tooling across the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) to improve delivery efficiency and reliability.
• Participate in social-impact programs (e.g., Force for Good) to contribute technology solutions for community initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or a 5th-year Master’s degree with expected graduation between July 2026 and December 2026 — or have graduated by December 2026 and be available to start full-time employment in February 2027.
• Major or strong coursework in Computer Science, Information Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence/Big Data, or a related field.
• Practical experience designing, developing, testing, and troubleshooting software solutions (projects, internships, or team coursework).
• Proficiency writing secure, maintainable code in at least one programming language, following established standards and best practices.
• Experience applying automation and modern tooling across the SDLC.
• Ability to use approved AI development tools responsibly and to critically evaluate and validate AI-generated outputs.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to document work and collaborate across teams and tools.
• Authorized to work in the U.S.; this program does not offer employment-based immigration sponsorship (no H-1B, OPT/CPT sponsorship, or equivalent).

Preferred Qualifications

• Foundational understanding of software engineering concepts demonstrated via coursework, projects, or internships.
• Experience tackling open-ended or ambiguous technical problems: breaking work into steps, experimenting, and iterating based on feedback.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, automated testing, and common development tooling.
• Demonstrated sound judgment when validating AI-generated outputs and maintaining ownership of solution quality, correctness, and security.
• Curiosity about emerging technologies and thoughtful assessment of when to adopt them.
• Desire to build technology that delivers measurable, real-world impact.

Program Details & Locations

• Two-year, global early careers development program combining structured learning, mentorship, and hands-on project work.
• In-depth induction provides exposure to business context, engineering standards, development methodologies, and professional development resources.
• The hiring process is rolling; early application is encouraged. Candidates advanced in the process will receive an invitation to complete a mandatory coding assessment (HackerRank). Applications are not reviewed further until the coding assessment is completed.
• This position is subject to review under the Federal Deposit Insurance Act (Section 19). Employment offers may be contingent on the client’s review of criminal conviction history, including pretrial diversions or program entries.
• Start date: February 2027 (full-time).

Compensation

• For the Chicago, IL location the salary range provided is $85,500 - $110,000 per year. Total compensation and benefits vary by role, experience, and location and will be discussed during the hiring process.
