About the Role

This is an early-career engineering role on a Low Observables (LO) team focused on reducing radar (RCS) and infrared (IR) signatures for unmanned air systems. You will work across vehicle shape, electromagnetic behavior of surfaces, and materials/process selection. No prior stealth experience is required — the team will teach LO-specific methods. We are looking for strong engineering fundamentals, curiosity with analysis tools, and sound judgment when evaluating results. You will be paired with an experienced LO engineer and contribute to a scoped, active program.

What You’ll Do

  • Run broadband Radar Cross Section (RCS) analysis on components and full air vehicles, and learn to judge prediction fidelity
  • Support design and development of Low Observable unmanned air systems from early trades through detailed design
  • Build and improve analysis tools, scripts, and validation workflows used by the team
  • Model LO materials and surface treatments; support material selection and optimization for components
  • Support manufacturing and validation planning — tolerances, inspection methods, and producibility at rate
  • Help plan and execute RCS measurement campaigns (indoor chambers and outdoor ranges), then reduce and interpret data
  • Compare measured results to predictions, investigate discrepancies, and feed improvements back into models

Required Qualifications

  • Pursuing or recently completed a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
  • Must be a U.S. Person (required access to U.S. export‑controlled information or facilities); U.S. clearance eligibility may be required depending on the program
  • Able to start in 2027

Preferred Qualifications

  • Coursework in electromagnetics/RF, aircraft/vehicle design, or materials & manufacturing processes
  • Working knowledge of a scripting or analysis language (MATLAB, Python, or C++)
  • Familiarity with 3D CAD (NX, CATIA, SolidWorks, or Creo)
  • Demonstrated hands‑on engineering work (capstone, senior design, internship, research, or competition team)
  • Clear written and verbal technical communication skills for design reviews
  • Exposure to electromagnetic simulation tools (HFSS, CST, FEKO, COMSOL); government codes are not expected
  • Experience with composites, additive manufacturing, casting, or injection molding
  • Laboratory RF measurement experience (network analyzers, anechoic chambers, antenna measurements)
  • Experience reducing, visualizing, and sanity‑checking measured datasets
  • Prior internship or co‑op in aerospace, defense, or another hardware‑intensive environment
