Overview
This accelerated, entry-level Management & Sales Training Program prepares new professionals for store management within 18–24 months. The program combines classroom and on-the-job learning, an initial intensive training period (approximately 8 weeks), and ongoing development tied to real store operations. You’ll work with store leadership to learn operations, sales (including large commercial accounts), merchandising, finance, and people leadership while building relationships in the local community.

- Career path: completion of the program positions you to move into Assistant Store Manager and beyond

What You’ll Do
- Complete the structured training curriculum and meet development milestones
- Support business strategies to increase sales and optimize profitability
- Deliver excellent customer service and maintain strong customer satisfaction
- Build and maintain product knowledge to make effective customer recommendations
- Develop positive relationships with wholesale and retail customers, including commercial buyers
- Assist with store administration, merchandising, and visual presentation
- Follow company policies and procedures, including safety, loss prevention, and security
- Support employee training, development, performance management, and corrective action
- Respond to and resolve customer and employee concerns
- Partner with the Store Manager on outside sales calls to increase market share
Minimum Requirements
- Age: Must be at least 18 years old
- Work authorization: Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future
- Driver’s license: Valid, unrestricted driver’s license required
- Education: Bachelor’s degree completed by the program start date
- Physical: Ability, with or without reasonable accommodation, to retrieve items from shelves/floor stacks and lift/carry up to 50 lbs frequently and up to 70 lbs occasionally
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ year experience in retail, sales, or customer service
- 1+ year experience in a leadership role (supervising or leading teams)
- Experience in team-based settings (work, extracurriculars, military service)
- Experience selling paint or paint-related products (advantageous)
- Familiarity with timekeeping or CRM systems
- Willingness to relocate for future opportunities within the organization
- Bilingual ability, especially Spanish, is a plus
Compensation & Background Checks
- Estimated pay (per posting): $99,148 per year (estimated)
- This role involves access to cash, electronic equipment, customer data, merchandise, and other items of value; a criminal background check may be required where permitted by law.
- Compensation decisions consider experience, skills, certifications, and other business needs. The posted estimate may be adjusted for local geographic differentials or other factors.
