What You’ll Do
This accelerated, entry-level Management & Sales Training Program prepares you for a Store Management role within 18–24 months. You’ll train across store operations, sales, merchandising, and customer service while partnering with store leadership to manage a high-revenue retail location.
- Complete an established, structured training curriculum
- Support sales strategies to grow commercial and retail accounts
- Deliver excellent customer service and build long-term client relationships
- Learn inventory, store administration, merchandising, and loss-prevention procedures
- Assist with employee training, performance management, and coaching
- Make outside sales calls with store leadership to increase market share
- Help maintain store condition and execute promotional displays
About the Program
This program is intended for graduates anticipating graduation in December 2026 or May 2027. Typical schedule: approximately 44 hours per week (may include evenings and weekends). The program includes an initial 8-week intensive training and ongoing development aimed at accelerating you into an Assistant Store Manager role and beyond. You’ll gain leadership development, professional networking, and hands-on retail and commercial sales experience.
Note: This role involves regular contact with customers (which may include minors) and access to cash, electronic systems, and other items of value. A criminal background review is required where permitted by law to help protect customers, team members, and company operations.
Compensation & Physical Requirements
- Estimated pay (from source): $77,095 per year (estimated)
- Typical schedule: ~44 hours/week; evenings and weekends possible
- Physical: ability to retrieve items from shelves and lift/carry up to 50 lbs frequently and up to 70 lbs occasionally (with or without reasonable accommodation)
- Must have a valid, unrestricted Driver’s License
Minimum Qualifications
- At least 18 years of age
- Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future
- Bachelor’s degree by the start of the development program
- Valid, unrestricted Driver’s License
- Ability to meet the physical requirements listed above
Preferred Qualifications
- At least 1 year of experience in retail, sales, or customer service
- Leadership experience (supervising others or leading teams)
- Team-oriented experience (work, extracurriculars, military service, etc.)
- Prior experience selling paint or paint-related products (beneficial)
- Familiarity with timekeeping or CRM systems
- Willingness to relocate for future opportunities
- Bilingual ability (Spanish or other languages) is a plus
Location
This opening is based in Schaumburg, IL. Candidates should be able to work the local schedule and travel as needed for training and business development.
