What You’ll Do

Confidential Client is hiring an Entry Level Field Tooling Engineer to provide technical support, inspection, and hands‑on tooling guidance for field service and field repair activities. You will help ensure the safety, reliability, availability, and cost effectiveness of field tooling, specialty equipment, and support systems used by field teams and customers.

  • Provide disposition for out‑of‑spec tooling and recommend corrective actions
  • Serve as technical liaison with suppliers for detailed repairs and vendor work
  • Establish tooling inspection standards and develop training for inspection personnel
  • Support field personnel to identify correct tooling for specific packages and scopes
  • Manage tooling interchangeability, revisions, and approved alternates
  • Apply Lean Six Sigma principles to drive quality and production improvements
  • Produce process documentation, engineering guidance, and timely technical support

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline at time of employment
  • 2.8 GPA or higher (4.0 scale)
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints
  • Strong problem solving and technical decision‑making skills
  • 0–3 years of relevant experience
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Understanding of basic turbomachinery concepts
  • Internships or experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment
  • Proficiency with Excel, macros, or scripting for data tasks
  • Experience with Lean Six Sigma (Yellow/Green Belt participation desirable)
  • Demonstrated initiative in root‑cause analysis and corrective action implementation
  • Strong organization and ability to manage multiple priorities independently

Compensation & Benefits

  • Summary pay range: $72,360 — $108,540 per year (range provided by the employer)
  • Benefits (subject to plan eligibility and terms): medical, dental, vision, paid time off, 401(k), HSA/FSA options, employee assistance, tuition reimbursement, incentive bonus, disability and life insurance, parental leave, adoption benefits, and more.
  • Relocation assistance is available. Visa sponsorship is not available.

  • Work location: Desoto, TX — this position requires on‑site presence five days a week.
