Role Overview

Confidential Client is seeking entry-level Associate Mechanical Engineers to join a Pathways program based in Baltimore, MD. This is a full-time contract role that requires the ability to obtain a U.S. government security clearance. The position supports mission-critical engineering work within the client’s Mission Systems division.

What You’ll Do

As an Associate Mechanical Engineer in the Pathways program you will:

• Contribute to mechanical design, analysis, and integration tasks for mission systems
• Support prototype development, fabrication, and test activities
• Help prepare engineering documentation, specifications, and assembly drawings
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (systems, electrical, manufacturing, test)
• Participate in design reviews and support verification/validation efforts
• Support work that may require access to classified programs (after clearance)

Minimum Qualifications

Candidates must meet ALL of the following:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (completed or near completion) from an accredited institution
• U.S. citizenship required to obtain U.S. government security clearance
• Ability to obtain a final DoD Secret security clearance prior to start
• Willingness/ability to obtain Special Access Program access within a reasonable period
• Available to work in Baltimore, MD (on-site as required by program)

Preferred Qualifications

• Cumulative GPA of 3.00/4.0 or higher
• Coursework or hands-on experience in mechanical design, CAD (e.g., SolidWorks), materials, or test
• Internship or co-op experience in aerospace, defense, or related engineering roles

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary range (Bachelors): $66,200 - $99,200 per year (range provided by the client)
• Role may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, discretionary bonus, and company benefits depending on position and employment terms
• Typical benefits include health insurance, life & disability insurance, retirement savings plans, paid holidays, and paid time off (benefits depend on final employer terms)
