Overview
Confidential Client is hiring a 2027 Associate for its Corporate Finance – Turnaround & Restructuring practice in Boston, MA. This is a full-time, entry-level consulting role for candidates with expected graduation between December 2026 and May 2027. The role focuses on financial modeling, cash-flow planning, restructuring transactions, and supporting client engagements that help underperforming or transitioning companies maximize stakeholder value.
What You’ll Do (Responsibilities)
- Support day-to-day activities of Turnaround & Restructuring client service teams on engagements.
- Build and maintain three-statement financial models, scenario and pro‑forma models.
- Prepare 13-week cash-flow forecasts and related cash-management analyses.
- Execute quantitative and qualitative analyses of financial and operational data.
- Produce client-ready reports, slide decks, and deliverables that clearly communicate findings and recommendations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, senior advisors, and client contacts to achieve engagement objectives.
- Contribute to business development activities, including marketing, client pitches, and practice development.
- Maintain the highest standards of professionalism, ethics, and quality.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Business, Accounting/Finance, Management, Engineering, Economics, Mathematics, or related field.
- Expected graduation between December 2026 and May 2027; 0–1 years of professional/internship experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Strong skills in financial modeling (three‑statement and 13‑week cash flow), FP&A, and scenario planning.
- Ability to manage and analyze large volumes of financial and operational data and distill actionable insights.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to present to junior and senior stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving, project management, and teamwork skills; ability to prioritize changing demands.
- Willingness to travel when needed.
- Candidate must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
Compensation & Location
- Salary range: $80,000 to $110,000 per year.
- Location: Boston, MA (on-site / client-facing as required).
- Employment type: Full-time.
