What You’ll Do
This accelerated, entry-level Management & Sales Training Program prepares you for a Store Management role in 18–24 months. You will:
- Complete an 8-week formal training program and ongoing development activities
- Support business strategies to increase sales and optimize profitability
- Deliver high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service
- Build and maintain product knowledge to make effective customer recommendations
- Develop positive relationships with wholesale and retail customers, including painting contractors and purchasing agents
- Assist with store administration, visual merchandising, and maintaining exceptional store condition
- Support employee training, development, performance management, and corrective action processes
- Ensure compliance with policies and procedures including safety, loss prevention, and security
- Partner with the Store Manager to make outside sales calls and grow market share
- Respond to and resolve customer and employee concerns professionally
Who We’re Looking For (Minimum Requirements)
- At least 18 years of age
- Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future
- Valid, unrestricted driver’s license
- Bachelor’s degree completed by the program start date
- Ability to retrieve items from shelves/floor stacks and lift/carry up to 50 lbs frequently (up to 70 lbs occasionally), with or without reasonable accommodation
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ year experience in retail, sales, or customer service
- 1+ year experience in leadership roles (supervising or leading teams)
- Experience working in team-oriented settings (work, extracurriculars, military, etc.)
- Experience selling paint or paint-related products (helpful, not required)
- Familiarity with timekeeping and CRM systems
- Willingness to relocate for future opportunities
- Bilingual ability or fluency in Spanish is a plus
Schedule & Location Notes
- Typical schedule: ~44 hours per week; may include evenings and weekends
- This role involves customer-facing work, possible supervised or unsupervised access to cash, payment methods, equipment, personal information and other items of value. A criminal history review may be required where legally permitted.
