What You’ll Do
Confidential Client is seeking an entry-level Associate Cyber Systems Engineer to support systems engineering, integration, verification & validation, and test activities for space and enterprise systems. You will help translate customer requirements into hardware/software specifications, participate in trade studies, perform functional and timeline analyses, and help ensure systems meet technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
- Perform technical planning and system-level integration, verification, and validation across concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance, and disposal phases.
- Convert customer and product requirements into system solutions, performing requirements allocation and interface definition.
- Conduct functional analysis, timeline analysis, and detailed trade studies.
- Support integration, test, and verification of software and hardware requirements.
- Assist in cost, risk, supportability, and effectiveness analyses.
- Present test results and technical findings to customers in a Test Director or equivalent role.
- Collaborate with engineering teams, management, government customers, and partners to deliver program objectives.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications — applicants must meet ALL of the following:
- Possess an Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility required at time of application.
- U.S. Citizenship is required (positions requiring government clearance).
- Completing or have completed a degree (Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD) from an accredited institution.
- Major in Cybersecurity, Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related STEM field.
- Basic understanding of test requirements and integration/test processes.
- Ability to present technical information to customers and stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Excellent written and oral communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience translating technical concepts and program information to customers.
- Solid understanding of planning, design, and implementation for large enterprise systems.
- Experience preparing and reviewing technical and programmatic documentation.
- Hands-on experience with integration, test, and verification of software requirements.
Salary & Benefits
- Salary range: $83,800 — $125,800 per year (salary disclosed per Colorado pay-transparency requirements). Final offers are based on role, experience, education, and market factors.

Location & Clearance
- Location: Boulder, CO (on-site at Confidential Client’s Space sector).
- Travel: Up to ~25% as required by program needs.
